El Cerrito is a wonderful town for many reasons: beautiful bay views from the hills, easy access to hiking trails, good public and private schools. There is great public transportation with two BART stops in El Cerrito, that allow you to get around very easy. San Pablo Avenue stretches the length of the town and is the primary commercial and retail corridor of the city. It is home to El Cerrito Plaza, a large automobile-oriented shopping center originally built as a regional mall in the 1950s, and the Cerrito Theater, a restored two-screen movie theater known for offering beer, wine, and a full dining menu. The shopping center is surrounded by other commercial and retail businesses along San Pablo Avenue and Fairmount Avenue.

St. Jerome’s enjoys a wonderful mix of old residents and young professional families who call home to this small four block radius bordering Albany. The neighbors in St. Jerome’s take pride in their gardens and most homes have well groomed front and back yards.St. Jerome’s can’t be beat for convenience.
